1. Overview

Pathway Vet Alliance LLC and its affiliates, d/b/a Thrive Pet Healthcare (“Thrive”), recognize that the skills and knowledge of its veterinary employees (each, a “Doctor”) are critical to their professional development and Thrive’s success. Thrive supports its Doctors in developing such skills by providing paid leave time to support continuing education (“CE Time”). The amount of CE Time a Doctor receives is set forth in such Doctor’s Offer and Agreement, and the use of CE Time is governed by the terms and conditions below. A Doctor’s hospital leadership may have additional requirements consistent with this policy that apply to the use of such Doctor’s CE Time.

To be eligible for the use of CE Time, the educational program must provide continuing education credit in the state in which the Doctor performs work for Thrive or be pre-approved by Thrive in writing.

To use such CE Time, the Doctor must submit a written request to hospital leadership detailing the date(s), the course description for such continuing education program, and the amount of paid leave requested.

The Doctor’s request must be approved in advance of the date of the continuing education program.
